Gearcase V4

Hello, I have an 1979 85hp Evinrude V4. planning on rebuilding my gearcase.i would like to find out if it is a Hydro-mechanical or mechanical gearcase? before i take it apart!!

mechanical gearcase.the hydro-electric ended in 1972.<br />by the way what part of ireland are you from?<br />javsam

Dhadley has a better memory than I but I belive the last of the hydro mechanical was 78. I think in 79 they were all mechanical.

my wife has relations of cosgrove from cork and I have relations in donegal(milford) by the name of dougherty.we visted ireland for the first time in 2002, and really loved it.<br />javsam
