Hello everyone. I bought a can of gelcoat(no wax) at my local boat store 3 hrs ago. Opened the lid, grabbed my cordless dewalt drill, a small paddle bit and the can had about 2” of solids on the bottom. I proceeded to try and mix the can up and in every motion and speed possible and here I am after 30 min and I still haven’t been able to mix the clumps out.. figured it’s probably a very old or bad can but wanted to check in with u guys and make sure That it’s not something I am doing wrong or a trick to mixing it that I am unaware of before I bring it back to store. Thx

That’s what I figured but I’m guessing that all the cans at the store where I got it are all bad.. so now I’m trying to find another retailer..😫

I wanted to add that I could get it through my local NAPA location. They only sold quarts which at the time worked for me.
