Gel coat matching

I have a 1988 searay laguna 21’ hull #serv8430G888 trying to find the color to try to match it. Any help out there please?

first, welcome aboard

second, unless your 32-33 year old boat was kept in an argon filled, hermetically sealed chamber with no exposure to the sun, the original gel has long since faded about 10 shades from original.

the only way to match your faded gel is to custom match it.

post a few more times, then post pics of the issue. however most likely, you will need to re-gel the whole boat.

SD is correct about fade. I was lucky by keeping my boat covered and buffed annually. Spectrum had my color and it was a perfect match. That's the good news. Bad news is it was non-stock so I had to buy a gallon to do a quart's worth of patching.

Again it was a perfect match.

Thank you both. I realize it’s faded. So was hoping someone had run into that and suggest a color that maybe closer. For example, the original was “sand” but try “arctic white”. Thx!

if its bright white, look for "OEM white"

Sand the boat get it the color it should be and use the right color.
