gel coat questions

Is spider cracks in the gel coat on my boat going to make it sink?? The cracks arnt from the glass, just the coat and nothing is soft..

so im wondering if its ok to leave it that way?

Spider cracks are a sign of stress on the gel coat and they can be from many reasons, some mean nothing and can be ignored, others indicate that there could be a problem. If you post a pic or two it will be easier to tell if there's more of an problem than just the cosmetic issue.

Not to take any thunder from ondarvr but if the spider cracks are along the area of your rub rail then they are stress cracks from slamming into the dock, or other things. Those are pretty harmless, look bad but nothing to loose sleep over. However, if they are on the hull then by all means do what ondarvr recommends and post some pics.

Could this sag be from someone elses gel coat? Or would it just be paint??

Sorry for the size just learning and wife isnt home yet

All of the small cracking is from poorly applied gel coat and is only cosmetic. The longer, darker crack looks it like was from an impact or sharp flexing, if you can see it from the other side you should be able to tell how bad it is. If it's above the water line it may not be a problem, but try to inspect it a little more.
