Gel coat touch up

Hi i have been fixing up an old 1977 bass boat and the gel coat is a little rough in a few places. Trying to get some tips and advice ( materials, techniques, ect ) before stating. I would appreciate it! - mason

A metal flake gelcoat bass boat?

Can you feel the flakes sticking up thru the gelcoat?
