Gel Protection Products Question

Been looking at either Rejex or 303 to protect the gel from chalking.

Both are popular, but from their site info not sure if they are the same generic.

They both state gloss retention and out performing conventional wax.

303 touts UV protection for fiberglass, vinyl and leather.

Rejex touts non-stick, but I can't find where they mention UV protection.

On ebay, for a gallon, Rejex is almost twice the price of 303.

Any of you all have any insight on how these work and if there is a difference?

Re: Gel Protection Products Question

I know of three guys that jumped on the rejex band wagon. A year later, all three are back using Collinite wax.

Save your collinite money and just give the boat a good coat of 3M marine wax with Scotchgard. It was what a professional detailer recommended to me several years ago, and I have never had any fading or oxidation during the season. Use the 303 on vinyl, not really the best for gel coat.

Best results will be achieved with a rotary buffer.

One source's opinion. and we all have them. Note: 3M marine wax with Scotchgard was not even included in the tests that were posted above. Nuff said.

I used Rejex on PT6 engine cowling to make cleaning of exhaust deposits easier to remove when cleaning. Seemed to work OK. I think that a good coat of wax worked about the same.
