I have a 23 foot Sunrunner. Today I noticed numerous cracks in the gelcoat on the bottom of the boat. It doesn't look like blisters(bubles).I took a knife and was able to peel the gelcoat off. What is the best way for me to repair something like this? gelcoat patch or marine tex? I am trying to lean away from bottom paint due to I trailer my boat at least 6 times a season(six months). Is this something I should be worried about? The hull is white so a perfect match in color is not a priority.

My vote goes to Marine Tex. You may have to cover the area with wax paper afer you apply the Marine Tex and figgure a way to hold it to the surface. Marine Tex tend to run until it sets up. After it hardens it is like steel.
