Re: gelcoat repair

You can purchase a gel coat repair kit at a local marine supply or do a seach on this board for West System. There is tons of info on it.

Bob

Re: gelcoat repair

lots of variables to this question, how old is the boat. is gel=coat available from mfgr. are you color blind... anyway the best way I have found is to get a quart of gelcoat (smallest amount you can get from mfgr} mix a small amount with cab o sil or micro pheres and fill the ding. then after this has cured, sand it flush and mix up a small amount of gelcoat and spray it on the patch with a preval sprayer then spray some pvc over the newly applied gelcoat unless the gelcoat allready has wax in it ...... then sand and buff.
