General Questions about my Force Outboard

Does anyone know what the factory specs are on the compression of a 1986 Force 50HP outboard?

Also, my Force outboard has a generator wire, so I am assuming there is a generator/alternator in the motor. This will provide a charge back to my battery right? What about if I were to purchase an onboard battery charger would I be able to hook it up to my motor and supply some juice back to 2 batteries?

Thx,

Dan

With a good compression tester it should read 150# if it is different then look for similarity 5-10# difference between cylinders.
Yes it charges back to the battery. A 110v battery charger will work make sure you put in the right switch for an outboard. Jerry

Re: General Questions about my Force Outboard

Jerry,

Hey thanks once again for your help. I will check out the compression to make sure everything is correct. Good to know about the charge, I would like to buy an onboard charger to supply some more juice to the trolling motor battery while I am motoring around.

Thx,

Dan
