Hi looking for any info on making a generator bed for a 5.5 kw generator that weighs about 330 pounds... any infor on mat and wood and lay up techniques would be great !! thanks..........Anthony

I've made a few odds and ends in engine compartments like beds for gen-sets, battery compartments and trays, ect.... <br /><br />A little more info on what make of boat and exactly where you are planing to mount your gen-set would help..<br /><br />All in all, you probably can't beat 3/4" marine ply coated and glued in place with epoxy.. (fastened with screws, nuts, and bolts too)

well it would be mounted in the engine room to the bottom of the hull of the boat in open space not near any other stringers..thanks for any more info
