hey everyone just decided to get another boat. i still got my astroglass bass boat and 90hp evinrude both '85. The motor runs great, but just changed the lower unit oil and 80 percents water came oil. i noticed gear oil was coming out the small drain hole on the lower unit so i emptied it and just about all water came out. on the good side it was freshwater, so i immediately filled it back up with fresh lower unit oil for the mean time. I havent decided what to do about it prolly going to sell it for cheap and start fresh.

been looking at a few boat but i been liking this one on craigs with a '02 50 hp johnson says less than 100hrs. with 16' spectrum aluminum hull. im looking for advice on the motor? its carbeurated which is a plus for me. should this be enough to pull the tube and wakeboard still. i didnt like the bass boat because its doesnt ride rougher water very well, i believe this hull is much better and still good for shallow waters?

i had a Spectrum, like that, handled rough water very well, and relatively shallow draft, especially with T n T.

90% of lower unit water intrusion, comes drom not changing the washers, on the vent and drain screwa. these washers are a one time use only, must be replaced everytime the screw is removed.
