Getting old waste hoses off fittings?

I'm running all new sanitation hoses for my toilet and waste tank discharge but I can't get the old ones off the plastic fittings. I think they are 1 1/4" hoses held on by hose clamps to the waste holding tank male fitting and also to a Y-Valve on the discharge side. I loosened the clamps, but just can not pull those darn hoses off! Several even can be rotated on the fitting, but still can't be pulled off. The ends of these hoses are rigid rubber or plastic, not sure.

I read about using a heat gun for stuck hoses, but not sure this was the application. Would that work? The hoses are original, 20 years old.

Thanks for the help.

Oh, one other related question. If there is a hose or a fitting that will not be used but I want to keep available for the future is there a "plug" or cap I can put on to close it off? One I know I want to cap is the side of the Y-valve that goes to the macerator (I am removing the macerator and not installing a new one, only a pump out for emptying tank).

btw, I found out that a 20 year old crap tank that's hasn't been emptied in many years is a stinky mess! I'm sure that's news to all......
Thanks again.

afternoon-
try a hair dryer for the hoses, not as hot as a heat gun. did you try and unscrew the hose fittings so you could put plugs in?
and yes I am familiar with the crap tank being full, the person we bought the boat from failed to empty it before delivery, JERK
dont through away the tank as the lake we are on is about to go with the no grey or black water discharge rule, so we will have to install a small tank somehow?

You're replacing the hoses so why not just take a sharp utility knife or razor blade and cut the down the side of the hose the length of the fitting. Then just "bend" the hoses off.

I could just cut them off - they'll be tough angles to get at and tough cuts I think as it's some sort of cuff coming off the hose (hose corregated, cuffs not). I'll try some heat then cut if needed.

Do I need to use cuffs for the new hoses? I don't really "get it" as these hoses would be cut from a long length of hose stock - then how to attach cuff or why? I think I'd prefer to just cut to length then hose clamp sanitation hose direct to fitting.
