Well, my friend drained the gas out of my car(the car is going to the junk yard).
I drove the car, up until a couple weeks ago, so the gas was new.
Anyways, he put the gas in my Chevy S-10 and now the truck constantly stalls.
So, we know there was either dirt or water(or some kind of contaminent) in the gas.
I want to rid the truck of all the gas that is in the tank.
What is the best way to get rid of all of it?
I can syphon the gas out of the tank, with a hose, but how do I get rid of the gas in the lines. I don't want any dirt getting clogged in the fuel injectors.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
B.C.

Your truck has a fuel filter, How much gas are we talking about? If its less than half a tank, change the fuel filter and fill the truck up with fresh gas. Then when its about gone, fill up the truck again and put on another fuel filter. Could be that your filter was about clogged anyway and this did it in.

I agree. Change the filter if it needs it, top off with good gas (premium wouldn't hurt) and add a bottle of gas dryer. (isopropyl alcohol) It's not going to clog your injectors, that's what the filter is for.

If you really want to drain EVERYTHING, you'll have to remove the fuel line up near the engine and hotwire the pump to get all the gas out. That's just a waste of time and valuable gas.

Thanks fellas.
There was only about $15 of gas.
Yeah, Isopropyl will help with the water evaporation...and changing the filter(twice) is a good idea.
Thanks again guys!
