I have a 1972 65hp Johnson with electric shift. While its running I'm getting shocked at the controls. Its a pretty good jolt. I've checked around inside the control box and all the wires look fine. I also checked around the starter solenoid and it looks fine. Any thing else I need to do or check? Does the control box need to be grounded?

Yes, your control box should be grounded. Not sure if that is why you are getting shocked but if you have a manual take a look at the wiring diagrams and it should tell you exactly which wire is your ground. Good luck.
