It must of been a big game 'cus the group of 4 sitting in front of me paid $2600 for their seats! Crazy, huh? Probably one third Dallas fans in the stadium. It was fun to win for a change!
We really benefitted from a few great plays on defense, offense, and special teams. Nice to have all facets contributing. Still, we didn't have a controlling drive nor could we stop a 5-15 yd pass over the middle. Witten was open all night. Holding the running game to 40yds sure beat the 251yds last time we met. Eli wasn't that sharp, but he made up for it by staying cool.
Looking down the road to next week, if Dallas loses to New Orleans (favored) and we (favored) beat Philly Sunday night, there will be three way tie with three games left (and we presently own the tie-breaker). Wouldn't that make the end of the season a little more fun? What a fickle season this is in the NFC East!
Saints just wanna win more than everyone else lately. Redskins missed field goal sure makes it look like destiny is calling. Sure hope some of that rubs off on us! Speaking of rub, the tailgate ribs were outstanding last night! Good night to cook and stick near the fire (brrrrrr).
I'm glad there's a spark and good reason to sit in the cold for hours next Sunday evening!
