Ok ive searched for a while, no luck... what is the proper postioning of the gimbal bearing? The dot on the outer ring facing out or the slots facing out? I know to line up the grease hole. when i took my old one out the slot6s were out.. found some hacked stuff on this rig, just wanna make sure im doing it right.. thanks

Small grease holes on outer race need to line up with the grease channel in the housing. Holes go forward.

dot would face forward, closest to transom. Or furthest away from installation slots. dot being on outer race where grease enters bearing.

New gimbals are sealed bearings ... they come with a security-torx driven block off to replace the grease nipple.
