Finally got my outdrive pulled thanks to you guys. But on the gimbal housing where the back side of the boots clamp to is corroding and crumbling a little bit. Any idea on how to fix this? The rest of the housing is in decent shape. See pics

I don't see fixing that, the sealing ring grove is damaged, so even if you can get something welded to it, in the correct shape, te ring will not be there to mate with the bellows. Need another transom assemly

The only fix to that is the GHRKit, which is a $400  plastic ring epoxied over the damaged area.

I'd replace the gimble housing, which is no easy task in itself....

Well we will have the motor pulled. So if there is any better time to change the housing. Is there an affordable replacement? I checked out that kit. Thanks for the info

Engine is out, defiantly change the gimble housing, pretty easy with the engine out.

Check Ebay and craigslist for a replacement.

Can also ask on OSO, use the wanted section.
I sold my older Bravo assembly for $300 a couple months ago

I haven’t been able to find a gimbal housing cheaper than 600$ I have an SX Dp-SM drive. I was gonna call a welder because I saw a thread where a guy rewelded a new lip where the bellows attaches. Have you seen that done successfully
