i have a mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2 1995.i was changing the bellows boots and noticed a piece missing where the clamp goes on the housing that is attached to the boat.i call it a transom mount or gimbal housing,it rite where the groove goes around the tube.i figuere thats my leak as the bellows is not torn.i have a complete mount,bell housing assembly, rams,hoses from a gen 1.can i swap the gimbal ring and bell from the gen 2 over to the gen 1 mount?i know my wording is probably off.thanks i believe the gen 1 is about 1988.
