Can any one tell me how to get the gimble bearing grease tube out?? I need to remove my trim cylinder block that the hydraulic lines bolt to to go through the transom so I can replace the o-ring, its leaking water into the bildge, but grease tube is in the way, and was told its obsolete and can't order a new grease tube if I break it?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy,

Are you talking about #72 below?

mine was a 1987 model.. I don't remember having to remove it.

It appears that it might be pressed in.

If you do not have an OEM service manual, you might see if you can get one. It probably describes how to do it correctly.

Thanks for the reply Rick, yes that's what I'm talking about, ordered a book, thought is ask before I got it, really don't want to break it since you can no longer order them.
