I have a 96' GS 205. Somehow, the 2 black wires, on the gear oil reservoir , are disconnected. There are 4 wires, near the res. Which wires, do the res. wires, go to ?

Hello Andrew and :welcome: to iBoats.

We need to know what engine is in your boat. It is a Mercruiser, a Volvo, or something else? It's also helpful to people helping you to include the engine serial number as well...

Thanks you,

Chris.......

Ok, the wires you're looking for will be any black wire that connects to ground, and a tan/blue wire.... The other thing is to find out why they were disconnected in the first place. It's possible the switch is faulty and it has the alarm sounding constantly.. If that is the case, I would recommend replacing the switch....

I'll also move this thread over to the Mercruiser forum for you....

Thanks Chris. I think they were disconnected, when I removed the cover, on the carb.

Thanks again.
