What's the difference? Besides 3 grand.

The MX is the basic, the gt 185 comes with the standard XL package, with a cooler storage under back bench, flip up captain chair, extended wrap around glass on port and starboard, snap in carpets (which are great when they get soaked just remove from boat a let dry elsewhere preventing boat from smelling damp), swim platform. Now, this was back in 2008 when I purchased my GT185, option might have changed, but in my opinion the extra 3 grand was worth it.

Hiya- did you get the 3.0 or the 4.3? I am thinking the more power the better.

The Glastron is a much better boat. But my opinion may be biased.

Uh.....yeah......um.......I knew that(?). Well then....what I MEANT to say is that the GT is a much better boat......yeah, that's it.

the gt is set up for gran touring... great for twisty roads where the mx is the motocross version which really excels in the big jumps whooptedoos

Get the 4.3. If there's one thing I figured out extremely quick, you'll always wish you'd purchased the larger engine.

Agree on the 4.3. However, due to EPA regulations the 4.3 Merc TKS (carb'd 190 HP) is no longer offered. So if you get a 4.3, the base will be a Volvo Penta (EFI @ 200HP). If you're a Merc guy, the upgrade to their 4.3 (EFI @ 220HP) will cost you a couple grand extra.
