I bought a glastron bass boat. I haven't seen it in person yet, but I'm almost positive it's an HPV 175. My dad picked it up for me in Clovis MN. I live near Austin TX, so I won't see it till I can pick it up in a couple of weeks. It's a 1978 model with a 1979 Mercury 150. The motor is not locked up and the trim/tilt goes up and down. Trailer is in good shape other than needing the bunks carpeted. The outside of the boat looks great. The inside needs all new seats and complex new carpet. The windshields are broken and need replaced. It needs new battery's, so that will have to be done first to try to get the motor started. It hasn't been run in 2 years. So I will definitely plan to replace the impeller and most likely put in carb kits. I can't afford to get it to tip top shape at once. So my plan of attack is to get a battery and replace water pump. Then try to start and see where that is. If it runs I will take it to the lake and float it. Start by checking for leaks and putting around to see how the motor works. Then if that all works out I will start slowly on the seats and carpeting. My thought is to replace the plywood on the bench seat and add a plate for fishing seat to the driver and passenger side. Oops port and starboard sides. Then I can but 2 fishing seats for those positions. When it's time to fish just add the pedestal. Then I kill 2 birds with one stone. Anyway I paid $500 for boat, motor and trailer. With signed titles for boat and motor. Already registered in TX. I feel like it was a good deal.
