Glastron Jetdrive?

I'm looking at a boat on craigslist with a 455 c.i. and a jet drive.

I've had outboards (Johnson and Merc) and I/O's (Mercruiser). I liked the outboards better because of the easy wintertization and low maintenance.

Has anyone had any experience with these things? Are they reliable? Can you get parts? What's the seasonal and bi-annual maintenance like?

Maintenance will be roughly the same as any other I/O or inboard sine the powerplant is similar. The jet drive is low-maintenance though.

Drives are far more reliable and nearly maint free; only 1 moving part. I prob spent 15min/yr on jet maint.
Winterizing takes 5min; drain block, pull 4 hoses, done.

Jet pumps are real easy to rebuild as well. There are many many mods you can do to these things. Tons of parts still for Jets. See my signature.
