Hi Guys....
Hoping to get a little advise on the reason my boat failed on the water today.
Every thing was going fine with the boat performing perfectly until I shut the engine down and it had what might be called pre ignition. Once I switched the ignition key off, the engine continued to cough and splutter until it finally shutdown about 4 seconds later.
It has done this in the past, on occasions, and always started again, although it would take a couple of seconds longer.
Today however, I could not get her to fire up, and had to be towed back to the ramp.
Once we got home I again tried to start her up to possibly flush the engine, and after trying again, she started and seemed to run normally.
Would it be a timing issue?
Any thoughs or advise would be much appreciated !
