What is this boat considered?? Kind of a newb when it comes to boats. Is it a bow rider, utility, sport boat,etc?? I know its a vhull. Kinda wanna get a boat manual so I can start to work on this thing. Thanks for answering this stupid question....

I bought a 1983 SSV-176 new and owned it up until last summer. Ours had a 140hp Evinrude outboard on it. These boats have one of the original modified v hulls.

my dad had a 1977 HPV-175 ( one of the 1st High Performance bass boats/ same hull) with a 140hp ( 175 hp max) E'rude and it was great- run 45mph in a 2 foot chop "slicker than snot"
( sorry-Texas saying) and corner like it was on rails
