GLM Head Gaskets / 1994 Evinrude 115 V4

Does anyone know if the GLM aftermarket head gaskets need an additional gasket sealer applied? The GLM gaskets are shiny which I assume is an impregnated sealant?? The factory OMC service manual calls for coating both sides of the head gaskets W/ "OMC Gasket Sealing Compound” Since these are not factory OMC gaskets thought I'd better ask...<br /><br />Thanks<br />-Jim

factory service manual, the OMC P/N on the manual is 508285
