GLMV64MER manifold kit for 4.3L I/O

Need to replace my manifolds and risers. Found new GLM complete kit for under $500. Love the price, but scared because it's so much lower than others. Do any of you have any experience with GLM manifolds.

Ayuh,... I bought a set, 'n had to re-machine the tops Flat, to hold a gasket, 'n keep water outa my motor,....

Hmmm. Thanks Bondo for the warning. How did you know they weren't flat? Were you able to tell with a standard straight edge like a scale or level, or did it have to fail first?

Anybody else have this problem, or might this be the one bad one?

Ayuh,.... I Wish I'd checked 'em before I put 'em on,...

After I hydro-locked the motor, 'n pulled 'em, ya, you can see it,...

The inner exhaust edge was 'bout .020/ .030" Low, compared to the outside perimeter,....

Flattened 'em on a big beltsander at the Machine Shop, 'n they're still on the motor, runnin' fine,...
