I have a volvo-penta aq125b w/270 drive. Replacing the bellows, i've seen a couple threads talking about gluing the bellows on a alpha drive. Does this also apply to the v-p setup? If so what to use, they need to be lubed to streach onto the mating parts.

Thanks,

Neil

Re: Glue bellows?

No need for glue, Volvo understands that the rubber in the bellows between the clamp and the housing does the sealing, not the adhesive.

The adhesive is to keep it from falling off, it's not meant to be a sealer.

The groove in the housing, and the raised part in the bellows that fits in the groove, along with the hose clamp holding that bellows in the groove replaces the adhesive.
