In regards to a new never used 2007 base engine sold for use in gen sets , forklifts and boats by the supplier. Standard rotation 181 cubic inch four cylinder moto. What concerns should I have about this motor for marine use? Engine has the composite head gasket and can swap out to brass freeze plugs if needed.

Thanks. Is there any different versions of this engine now? I understand the 3.0 wasn't used in a car. I guess what I am asking are there 3.0's sold as base engines that are better than others? My thinking that these are all pretty much the same initially the block and head being GM fare.
