GM Salvage

Anyone out there know of any salvage yards that will take on line inquiries? Or any, for that matter.

I need some emissions parts for a 1981 Camaro 3.8L V-6. (sons's project) I do not want to buy new, if I can help it.

I think I could get it to pass emissions by playing around with the mixture. However, all the components need to be there.

If you want your car to pass emmisions, run it almost out of gas, and pour some rubbing alcohol in the fuel tank. It will make your car run clean, and clean your engine at the same time. I had an 85 RamCharger, and that it the only way it would ever pass.

One product is called "Guaranteed To Pass", it's a gas additive that does as the name says. Use
as directed and if your car doesn't pass the emissions test save the receipt and failure report and they will refund your purchase price in duplicate.

Djohns, try typing in "auto recyclers" in a search engine like Google... There are some who'll ship parts to you, like http://www.fergusauto.com/

A new catalitic converter can do wonders when trying to pass the sniffer test... ;)
