GM305 1978 V8 Thermostat kit please help!

Hello everybody
I bought a new thermostat housing together with a thermostat kit.I don't know how to assemble them since the kit may include something i don't need and the previous owner had subtract everything in there.The housing is the one with the 8 hoses(6 + 2 at the top cap).The kit contains two Orings(the one is made of cork) and two gaskets .The first has the shape of a face and fits to the top cap and a second which probably goes at the conection with the engine but it's closed.(only the two holes for the bolts.Shall I cut it?
A diagram would be a salvation.

I don't know if ours are the same, but Don S. posted a diagram for me in a thread that I started and it really helped me a lot.

I was aware of Don's reply to your thread.Unfortunately mine is not the same(8 hoses).Anyway thanks for replying.If I don't get any other help I'll use the order at your reply but my kit doesn't contain the sleeve.
