GMC 2009 + UP Belt Change heads up

Well heres a new one for you GMC's 2009 up 4.8 .5.3,and 6.0 have no belt tensioner...they are stretch fit belts by GATES...and you guessed it Gates is getting richer selling the belts and the tool to do it....there are some cheap disposible ones available to do it....So heads up if your belt breaks on the road...other vehicles now in the same boat.....me keeping my older ones 4 sure now ...thats 2 much whats next...check link below

Yes, we had a thread here that mentioned this awhile ago. Cost cutting move to get rid of the tensioner I suppose.
