I hope this inspires hip-hoppers in their hoopties to put a patriotic CD in the spinner and crank it up till the headlights dim and the windows shatter!!

I love it
to think protesters would actually protest and tear up flags at a military funeral is repulsive.
while I signed a piece of paper, actually 3 pieces, to protect their right to protest and to tear up a flag if thats what they wished, aint no way I could condone them doing it at any funeral. as long as no laws are broken I love the idea of motocycle motors over protesters at a funeral :)
the shennan debacle was another thing though. I was almost impressed that for the most part both sides behaved. makes me think that my small sacrifice in uniform actually did something somehow. thats how the system is supposed to work. like it or not. but the system does not cover the reprehinsible act of protesting at a private funeral, or any funeral for that matter.

god bless them every one.

MY nephew is about to go to Iraq.

God LOVE that kid, he joined the Army because of his ideals and desire to defend and spread freedom.

If something hapens to him while he's over there, and anyone does a single thing to spoil my [our] remembrance of his goodness and his spirit, a marxist *******'s gonna bleed and die. Maybe more than one marxist *******.

Maybe the Patriot Riders will prevent the death of some sleeze who should die...but isn't that how this thing always plays out anyway?

Rodbolt: I guess we all have that threshold, or that "breaking-point" which individually delineates between freedom and anarchy. To me, "words mean things" and always will. Freedom of speech is allmost uniquely American. But there is a thin, invisable "line" that seperates free expression from an assault upon humanity. France is now in the throes of anarchy due to these "freedoms". I'm not saying we should ,as a country, remove ANY freedoms of speech. But we should all remember these freedoms are extended to ALL of us.

Dogsdad: Thank your nephew for me, or give me his email if he has one, so i can thank him personally, please. He is truely one of many heroes of mine. Even I would serve again if 53year olds were allowed to form a division.
Not that serving is prerequisite for a "12Footer medal", as there are many reasons for enlisting. I just choose to salute every blessed one of them because of the service they provide me at whatever personal price it costs them.
But mark my words, i can and do relate!! The day the doc tells me i am terminal, i am on any form of transit that will get me into Iran, where i will return one bomb, "that somehow got mistakenly blown-up by it's wearer in a crowded venue" -- and it is only fair that i return the horrendous grief it's detonation caused also.
I will probably do so in a crowded training camp.
