Well you can pm me your schedule or post it here so we can arrange something. I am always off on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sinister comes out on fridays and sundays. If we plan i will rearrange my schedule to make that fishing day. But tomorrow we are going. Bags r packed boats are ready and will report back as soon as possible

I know I'm coming up in June and or July.
I want to do North Jersey

There are also some members that are doing the South Jersey to North end of the Chesapeake Bay trip

I will touch base with them to see what size boats they are using.
The C and D Canal is really nice. It connects the Delaware River/ Bay to the Chesapeake Bay
That is basically a way to connect the Delaware Bay to the Chesapeake Bay at the narrowest parts
I think the Jersey connection is at Salem, which is the Jersey side of the Delaware River/ Bay

Looks like you had a great time

How fast were you going?
We're both of you using 15hp motors?
How much water do you think you covered in terms of miles?

2 people on board and all gear 18mph-19mph
Mine was a 4 stroke 15hp and sinster(red boat) 2 stroke 15hp
A guesstimate of milage is a hard one but i would say a total of About 35-40 miles i would say. We both had 6 gallon tank and after we came back he was running on 1 gallon and i was still near full. Shows how much less gas a 4stroke eats. With benefit of the doubt i ate 1.5g and he ate at least 5. He did troll a lot more then i did though. I would still rate it at. 2:1 ratio when it comes to gas 2stroke vs 4stroke

How does that 15 compare to your 6hp?

My 6 is a long shaft so i had extra drag. I never measured speed of the 6 but was never able to keep up to sinister. This 15 keeps up to his 2 stroke right now. I cannot imagine what i can do solo

Are you going to sell the 6 or change it to short shaft?
How did your new dolly work?

I am selling the 6hp and did not use the new dolly yet because the bracket mount is not complete yet. Once it is i will post a video

RonaldJ... You have the same schedule as I do... are you a federale?? lol. Trolled bunker spoons, bomber lures and slow trolled shad bodies... nada. Snagged a bunker but they are even more spread out than last week... Wish the blues were here to corral those wayward bunker but with this weather they will not likely be making their annual appearance til June!!1 :(

Looks like you were flying in your new boat.
How much harder is it to move that than your old boat?
Did you buy it for size or was it just time?
Is the 12foot a better fishing platform?

Re: Going out on the water tomorrow 4.28

Ronaldj... Sorry.... missed your post here new boat was a combination of things.... Needed just a little more fishing space. The more crap I add the more room I needed. The Mercury is getting older though still in very good condition (now residing with my brother in law ). As for speed, I would say Weimed is right about right at 18-20 mph. The quicksilver was a little faster but the new boat has a smoother ride. I still need to figure out the engine trim tho. I tried one hole in and the boat porpoises a bit but a faster hole shot... could also be the motor tune up, lol. When all is said and done... speed is addicting and a 25 hp would be nice ;)
