going to change termastat

I'am going to change the two termastats in mecr 150,is there any do's or don'ts that I should be aware of ? Thank You

Pretty simple procedure. I usually use a salt flush when I do it just to clean out any deposits that may be in the cooling system.

Don'ts ..... do not brake off the bolts on the thermostat cover ....
