Have a 25 gal. plastic gas tank that’s been sitting for a few years.
There is a thick, sticky yellowish brown goo in the tank that we are trying to clean out but nothing seems to break this stuff down. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Bill

Sounds like the varnish that's left when gas evaporates over a period of time, try carb cleaner.

If you can find a place that does it, steam cleaning will usually work, too.
