Good crankcase goopy stuff???

When I get to the point that I am ready to put the engine back together, 1985 Johnson 150, what is the best sealant to use for the two halves of the crankcase? Is there anything good I can get at the local NAPA store? Manual says to use Gel Seal, is it still available or is there something that works better?
