I have a 70 HP that is good for parts or you can get it running again. It was running last year until it was winterized not sure of the problem but it used to be real good strong running motor. 250 o.b.o If interested give me call 678-xxx-xxxx Chris

GOOD DEAL OR LET IT PASS???

I would low ball the guy and work from there...... not running? are there controls with it? You could buy it and part it out if needed and make a few bucks....... or you could fix it. Not winterizing an outboard .....if it was stored in that position it should not have freeze damage.

it might be a diamond in the rough..... check the compression..... they were notorious for burning one piston.

I would get more info from the guy, But like said It's worth more than the price in Parts. If you cannot get it running take it apart and ebay everything. I bet you can make some good money on it....JMO

That looks like a older 70hp with out power tilt & trim. More than likely you could get it to run on the cheap. However I myself would not go over 100 for that motor. Here by St louis I bought a1983- 70hp johnson with tilt & trim for 200. It needed a starter, which I had, cleaned the carbs and it runs like a bat out of hell. If you take your time you can usually come up with a good deal on craigslist.
