has the trim worked before?

when?

does it move at all?

do you hear solenoids clicking or the trim motor running?

Do you see any leaks at the trim cylinder?

if it is porposing it is too trimmed out too far, bring it back down. on my boat i only have to trim out just a tiny bit. to get top performance.

Poor bugger. Nothing worse than having a piece of recreational equipment giving you fits. They are supposed to be fun, not a pain in the arse.

That being said, your porpoising problem is likely not a function of not being able to trim UP, but not being trimmed DOWN enough. I wonder if there are adjustments on the transom where you can bring the bottom of the motor in (down) some and see if that helps?

To your trim problem, it being able to work on land but not at sea leads me to suspect that soemthing is weak, and the thrust of the motor is overpowering the trim motor. I cannot help you with that, unfortunately, I know little about them and this is just my suspicion. Best of luck with your troubles.

well it has not worked since i bought it but it does work rine on the bank or at low speed but when i put pressure on it it will not pick up and the motor is all the way down so that is not making it jump it needs to come up and it has no leaks can the fluid be bad or the motor ?

Kent,
Is your cavitation plate level with the bottom of the boat when all the way down? If not, then it's not down far enough. It won't porpoise from being down too far, just being up too far--as was said earlier.
I hope you check it's position again. there may be a pin or bolt you can move to a lower position to get it down better and prevent the porpoising. If it's porpoising and you actually do get it to trim up, the porp. will get worse, not better.
