Do any one know of a good primer bulb that can withstand the ethanol? I have purchased primer bulbs that say they withstand it but after a few years they get soft. When I open them up after replacement they are all eaten away inside. I want to buy one primer bulb that will last forever like the bulbs did before ethanol.

IMO, a few years out of a primer bulb is pretty good these days.

That said, I'm using a Moeller Low-perm bulb that I am happy with. Has lasted over a year now, while the Mercury/Quicksilver OEM bulbs I was using crapped out after 6 months to a year.

I use Evinrude OEM bulbs. Get 5 or 6 years out of one before they need replaced from UV exposure

Yeah, boy, this is a tough one. New bulbs should be E-15 ethanol resistant, (if there is such a thing). I've come to where I put an inline clear automotive filter in after the bulb and when it starts showing signs of clogging it's time to change the bulb. Gone are the days of the crimp on clamps! Welcome to the day's where carrying a spare bulb is now a requirement.
