I bought a used goodyear seebea about a month ago. I am proud of the fact that it runs like a champ However I am needing any info that anyone can supply me with about this motor, who made the engine, where can parts be obtained and the such. It's model is a 025-3569 and it's serial is 412-114. any ifo would be appreciated.

Your motor is a 51-53 5 hp built by the Gale devision of OMC.There are quite a few 5 hp models to the point of confusion. If yours is a full gearshift model it will share some parts with the Evinrude/Johnson motors of similar design.Routine parts for these motors are readily available.Other models share parts with the various other Gale built private badged motors. And possibly a few ignition parts with the TD and HD johnsons.
It uses Champion J6C plugs set at .030.points set at .020.Fuel mix is 1/2 pt per gallon using TCW3 rated oil.

As far as the gear shift is concerned it has forward and neurtral only, no reverse. The guy I bought it from said it was a 50 model but he is about a moron anyway. Hope to hear from everyone on here.
