Go to www.google.com and type in your phone number. Then click on "maps". It will pinpoint the location of your house.

Yikes!

Yea, if you have ever had an ad or anything that you have to put your phone number down for it's gotcha.

Thats why I always use a fake number.
If they want to get in touch with me then they can e-mail me.

Re: Google

Try typing in your name and see what comes up. If not you, it might find some folks with same name.

Check this Google Solves Kidnapping story out from Atlanta.

Well, so much for not listing your address in the phone book. I guess if someone wants to find you, they're going to do it.

Re: Google

If you have a published number, you can be found. If you have an address I can find your number if it is published. The only way to prevent this is to get an unpublished, unlisted number. My sister has done this ever since an inmate at a prison started calling her to get her to sponsor his release. She did nothing to warrnt the call, did not know the person and to this day does not know how he got her number or know why he called her.

http://www.theultimates.com is a good site for looking up phone numbers. Yahoo has a reverse lookup for address. They also have a button to click to see your neighbors names and phone numbers.

Re: Google

Does anyone know if you can look up cell numbers anywhere? Or track down a cell users home address?

I have not run across a way to do that.

Re: Google

Help me out DJ, I can't find "maps" anywhere on the screen or under any menus. The number by itself doesn't turn up any matches either.

I don't know fellows, but I can type in any number in my area code and a person or business comes up.

I just type in a number and hit google search.

Re: Google

I tested with the number SBN gave and got some results. I then found a choice for maps on the upper portion of the results screen.
