Got a retainer bearing you can't get purchase on to remove? Try this.

This may have already been done, but I thought it was clever and wanted to share it. So you can see in the picture that the retainer bearing on this OMC tilt shaft is round and flush with the housing. I tried to pry it out with small screwdriver and found I was scraping out packed in dirt/crusty material. But no joy on getting the bearing out until I grabbed a strong magnet and wiggled the bearing and Oring out of the housing.
