I'm real exited... :D

Picked up a 1964 75 HP Johnson Electramatic, T+T,electric start, console steering.
With what looks like maybe a 1970 alumacraft Queen Mary 18 foot closed bow boat attached to it. :D

Anyway the guy told me it will get great gas mileage at full throtle so I bought it..LOL

I need a manual whats the difference between the I-boats generac manual and other manuals.
I need one and don't mind spending a little more after all I'll be saving a lot on gas... :D

I see there are 6 different model numbers for this engine, V4A-16, V4AL-16, V4H-16, V4HL-16, V4S-16, V4SL-16.
Will this affect which manual I get?
I'm guessing L is for long shaft?

Thanks Pier.... :D

I own a Johnny!!!!!!!

This link will help you obtain a copy of the factory service manual.

http://www.kencook.com/evinrudejohnsonmanuals/

In the model numbers, A means alternator with electric shift, S means mechanical shift without battery charging unless an optional generator is installed, and the H means the heavy duty "big-@ss" gearcase.

Have a look around Iboats' member Drolsum's website:
http://www.drolsum.net/johnson/index.html
Go for the factory manual. Since kencook wants an arm and a leg for it, you might want to find a used on on ebay. Use the following search terms:
(75, 75hp) (evinrude, johnson, omc) manual 1964
No great deals out there now, but there is one for a half-decent price. You can use the Evinrude one: mechanically it's the same as the Johnson.
