Would like some feedback from those with combo gps/chartplotter/fishfinder/debth recorder.<br />Am looking at Furuno and Lowrance. How about some pro & cons. Gp1650wf (Furuno) and 335 EW (Lowrance). Also want to buy an EPIRB. Any suggestions?

Re: gps-fishfinder-epirb

I've had a Furuno GP-1650DF flush mounted in the console of my 21 footer for the last 5 years. It's worked flawlessly despite 100% operation on the ocean in often rough water, ocean spray, and hot sun for trips of up to 18 hours. It takes a lickin' and keeps on navigatin'. The GPS is very accurate, the chart very easy to read, and the fishfinder very accurate - it'll find fish deeper than you have pixels to light up ;) - but best of all it's very easy to use with intuitive soft keys. The only negative I can think of is that it cost a lot back when I bought it, but now you can get a comparable Furuno unit for less than half :p what I paid. IMHO you can't go wrong with the Furuno.
