grease fitting on 280 leg

Hi guys . . . I've been unable to get grease through to the bearing using the one fitting on the 280 leg. Originally the fitting came loose when the surrounding metal corroded. Using a longer fitting didn't work - eventually the grease forced the fitting out.

I was considering trying to get some chain oil (being sticky) through the cracks between the moving parts.

Anyone got any suggestions . . . thanks.

The way I do it is a small propane torch.
Your trying to warm it up not get it so hot it melts anything other than the grease.
Before you re-install the zert heat it up and try some compressed air in the hole and spray WD or PB.
