Grease nipple on alpha one housing

is the grease nipple near the transom on an alpha 1 gen 2 used to grease the gimbal bearing. If so, what kind of grease should someone use and how often should it be done. I have about 60 hours on my boat so far and I am not sure when it should be serviced.

Yes...

I use Merc's 2-4-C in a small grease gun... And give it about 3 or 4 pumps every 50 hours, or annually when the drive is pulled for the service....

i use quicksilver ujoint and gimble brg. grease on mine. there is a zert on the starboard side of the gimble houseing.
