Greasing creaky tilt and trim

I can't get grease into the top of the tilt ram pivot point. Pics attached. Is there something missing here, should there be plugs or a bolt through this hole? When I pump grease into the zerk shown, it immediately comes out of the holes on either side of the steering column, and the t&t creaks going up or down...

Maybe try a can of spray white Lithium grease....spray it up in there and it may well penetrate to the squeaky parts.....
Of course, your "speaking" may in fact be some air in the hydraulic system....requiring bleeding of the air and filling with fresh fluid...

That's a good idea. It's kind of a popping sound. It does sound like a rubbing of metal on either metal or old bushing, not a hydraulic sound. I'll try spray lube though. Any ideas about the grease situation?

There's a nylon bush in the top of the ram, the zerks don't go to it.
Corrosion builds up on the outside of the nylon bush which crushes it causing it to tighten onto the shaft.
Pull it apart & fix it or try drizzling a little tcw3 down either side for a while to prove a point.

I'd pull it all apart and clean relube everything.. make it all nice like new in there..
