We were a little late getting this year's first lake weekend in, mostly due to cooler weather which hung around later than usual this year. Saturday felt like summer time though, with a high of 94. The lake was busy, but nothing like it will be in 2 weeks for Memorial Day weekend. After many years of cramped life on the bowrider, I'm loving the pontoon! We had 3 kids and 5 adults on the boat Saturday, and while speed isn't her strong suit, the fact that we weren't on top of one another is great! The water at Lake Blackshear (in south GA) averaged 80 - 82 degrees, and was perfect. Looking forward to a great year!

Nice, thanks for sharing - especially for those of us up here where the water is still quite cold. But at least the ice is finally out

Yikes! I guess the gnats and love bugs down here are worth the hassle to have a longer boating season. Of course, even the water down here gets almost unbearably hot by August.
