Anyone else addicted to this show on the History Channel. It's amazing what these guys do just to earn a living. Not sure I'd be up to it. But sure looks like and adventure. My hat goes off to these guys.

Its been airing here for a couple of months now. Pretty impressive stuff they have to deal with. The show though is kind of boring.

I thought it would be better.

Those Captains are very protective of their turf. They really have little interest in training the next generation. On the other hand, there won't be much Great Lakes commerce 30 years from now. The surrounding states are seeing to that.

I do think any of those Chicago/Milwaukee area Captains could pass as stand ins for the SNL "Super Fans" skits! Da Bears!

I agree, I like the idea, but it's not as good as I hoped. However, I had no idea that tugs were used so much to break ice.
